Refund Policy

When we refund a payment, what is not refundable, and how to ask. This is the document your purchase records as its refund terms, so it is written to be read before you buy rather than after.

Versioned document. This page is the complete 2026-08-28 version, and its bytes will not change. Your purchase records the version of this policy that was in force when you paid. If we publish a new one, it applies to purchases made after it takes effect.

1. What this covers

This policy covers payments for Skyflo paid plans and any separately metered managed inference sold with them. It restates and expands section 13 of the Terms and Desktop Licence, and is read together with sections 8 and 12 of those Terms.

Where this policy and the Terms both address the same point, the Terms govern. This document does not reduce any right the Terms give you, and it does not reduce any right the law gives you.

The free plan involves no payment, so nothing in this policy applies to it. Bringing your own model key costs you nothing through Skyflo: what your model provider bills you is between you and that provider, and we cannot refund it.

2. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel at any time from the account console. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for: your plan, including its managed allowance for the current window, stays available until that period ends.

You can reverse a scheduled cancellation at any time before the period ends, and your subscription continues as though you had not cancelled.

Ordinary cancellation is not refunded and not pro-rated. We do not refund a partial period, and unused managed allowance is not refunded or carried forward, in line with section 8.1 of the Terms. Cancelling early ends future charges; it does not return money already paid for time you can still use.

3. Statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights

Where the law that applies to you gives you a statutory right to withdraw from or cancel a purchase within a set period, that right applies in full, in addition to this policy, and nothing here limits it.

If you are exercising a statutory right, say so when you contact us. We will handle it under that law rather than under section 5 below.

4. When we refund in full

We refund a payment in full, without you having to argue for it, where we cancelled the purchase or could not provide the access you paid for. In practice that is:

  • Payment succeeded but we could not activate your entitlement, for any reason on our side.
  • We cancelled your purchase because we could not service it.
  • We withdrew a legal document your purchase depends on and you did not accept its replacement within the window we gave you. In that case we cancel and refund in full rather than keeping you on a document we have declared unusable.
  • You were charged more than once for the same subscription period.

In each of these we start the refund ourselves. You should not need to ask, and we will keep telling you what is happening until you either have the access or have your money back.

5. Everything else, case by case

Outside sections 3 and 4, refunds are handled case by case. We would rather look at what actually happened than publish a rule that is wrong for most of the situations it covers.

Two things weigh heavily. The first is whether the product did what it says it does for you. The second is how much of the paid period and managed allowance you have already used: a request early in a period that has barely been used is treated very differently from one at the end of a period that has been used in full.

We are a small company and we will give you a real answer, including when that answer is no.

6. Managed inference and consumed allowance

Managed inference is metered. Once a model request has been dispatched to our provider, that request has been paid for by us and cannot be unspent. Allowance you have already consumed is therefore not refundable, whatever else we refund.

If a managed request was charged to you but never produced a result, that is our failure and is covered by section 4. Tell us and we will correct it.

7. What a refund does to your account

Where a payment is fully refunded, reversed, or lost in a payment dispute, the subscription is cancelled immediately, managed inference is revoked, and future renewals are suppressed. Your account, your local installation, and your own model keys keep working on the free plan.

A partial refund does not by itself cancel your subscription. We will tell you which of the two has happened.

If you open a dispute with your bank or card issuer rather than contacting us, we will treat it the same way and respond to the dispute. It is faster for both of us if you contact us first.

8. Deleting your account while you have a paid plan

You can delete your account at any time. If you have a paid subscription we offer you a choice between deleting at the end of the period you have already paid for and deleting immediately.

Before you confirm, we show you what is refundable and what is not, so the decision is made with the number in front of you rather than after the fact. After deletion we retain only the financial and legal records we are required to keep.

9. How to ask, and how long it takes

Write to support@skyflo.ai from the email address on the account, and tell us what you paid for and what went wrong. You do not need a particular form of words.

We aim to give you a decision within five working days. Where we approve a refund, it is processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, back to the original payment method. How long it then takes to appear is set by your bank or card issuer and is outside our control, but it is commonly five to ten working days.

Dodo Payments is the seller of record for Skyflo purchases, so your statement and your invoice may name Dodo rather than Skyflo. That is expected and does not mean you were charged by someone else.
